Spiral bits are in continuous contact with the wood. They cut clean and leave a superior finish. They can be used to cut both real wood and man-made material. These solid carbide up-cut spirals with 1/2″ shanks are also the right choice for mortising since they lift sawdust out of the cut.
They are sold individually or in a set.The three-piece set contains 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ spiral bits. The 1/2″ bit has a 2″ cutting length and is 4″ in overall length. The 3/8″ and 1/4″ bits have a 1-1/2″ cutting length with a 3-1/2″ overall length.
